PRE-ORDER RETURNS & PAYMENT POLICY 

Leah Da Gloria — Pre-Order (Made-to-Order) Returns & Payment Policy

This policy applies to all pre-order and made-to-order pieces — items produced to order rather than held in stock, including Atelier-tier garments. It does not apply to in-stock ready-to-wear, which is governed by our separate Ready-to-Wear Returns Policy.

About pre-order pieces

Pre-order pieces are produced specifically for your order rather than held in stock. Once you place your order, we begin sourcing materials and producing your piece in your selected size. Because each piece is made to order and not carried as stock, pre-order items are final sale: they are not eligible for return, exchange, refund or credit, except where an item is faulty or where you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept that the order is non-cancellable and non-refundable once confirmed.

Payment

Pre-order pieces are paid in full at the time of order. Full payment confirms your order, secures your place in our production schedule, and allows us to begin sourcing materials and commencing production. As each piece is made to order, payment is non-refundable once your order is confirmed, except where an item is faulty or as required by law.

Choosing your size

Pre-order pieces are made in standard sizes. As with all our pieces, our sizing runs smaller than standard, with limited stretch and internal corsetry in some styles — so we strongly recommend taking your measurements and comparing them to our size guide before ordering, and sizing to your largest measurement if you fall between sizes. Because pre-order pieces are final sale, please choose your size carefully. If you're unsure, book a complimentary fit consultation before you order — in person (45 minutes) or over Zoom (15 minutes).

Your piece is made to the closest standard size and may require professional alteration for your preferred fit; alteration costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Production and delivery timeframes

Pre-order pieces require [X–X weeks] to produce. Timeframes are estimates and will be confirmed at the time of order. We recommend ordering well in advance of any event date and advising us of your required date when you place your order. If you have a firm deadline, please speak with us before ordering so we can confirm it can be met.

Changes to your order

Any request to change a confirmed order — size, style or fabric — must be made in writing as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes before production begins, but changes may not be possible once production has commenced, and may incur additional cost.

Faulty items

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If your garment arrives with a genuine fault in materials or workmanship, please contact us at [email] within [X days] of receiving it, and we will work with you to repair, remake or refund the item as appropriate and as required by law. Please note that the handcrafted nature of our pieces means slight variations in beadwork, embellishment and finish are characteristic of the work and are not considered faults.
